Joe’s career spans two years in the Army National Guard and four years in the United States Air Force (secret clearance), five years in law enforcement, seven years in the lending industry and more than 30 years in the collateral recovery industry where he was involved as a recovery agent and supervisor in more than 20,000 repossessions. He is also a licensed 220, Property and Casualty insurance agent since 1991, specializing in coverages exclusively for collateral recovery specialists and private towers.

He is Vice-President and Director of Education for Recovery Industry Services Company (RISC) and author of the Certified Asset Recovery Specialist (C.A.R.S.) National Certification Program which is nationally recognized as the premier training and certification program for the collateral recovery industry and currently has over 6000 graduates.  He is also author of “Bridging the Gap”, co-author of the RISC Compliance and Operations Manual which instructs collateral recovery agents in meeting the compliance mandates of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the lending community.  He has also written over 30 nationally published articles on the self-help repossession process and repossession insurance, and for 5 years he conducted seminars across the country to lenders and collateral recovery specialists on these subjects.
